Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter Sunday! It is so hard to believe it was Olivia's second Easter - Madelyn, Mary Grace and Olivia were born on Good Friday. Last year, on Easter Sunday, Madelyn went to be with Jesus. What a comfort it is that on the day of her death we are able to rejoice with HOPE in the GIFT of ETERNAL LIFE made possible by JESUS CHRIST. God sent his Son, Jesus, to bear the sins of humanity and die upon a cross. In taking our sins upon himself, he conquered death as we know it. For those who believe I love the words from one of the songs we sang at church on Sunday. Over this past year it has become one of our very favorite songs. "Christ is Risen" Let no one caught in sin remain* Inside the lie of inward shame We fix our eyes upon the cross And run to him who showed great love And bled for us Freely you bled, for us Christ is risen from the dead Trampling over death by death Come awake, come awake! Come and rise up from the grave! Chri...

Heaven Day

A year ago today we were told that Catherine had gone to heaven. For Cate, because she passed away the day before she was born, I always think of today as her "heaven day." This morning I got a text from my friend, Lauren, with this picture. Her little girl, Harper, sent balloons to her friends. Lauren told me that Harper said Cate would love the princess balloon. I think she's right! I just want to say "thank you" to all of our sweet friends who have called, sent texts and emails, and have thought of ways to honor our family over the next few weeks. It means so much to us!

Love my girl

Olivia and her bumper

A few weeks ago we lowered Olivia's crib and put her bumpers back in. I don't think she was very happy about the change. Usually when she's mad and crying I find her struggling to push them down so she can see out. I was almost to the point where I thought it really wasn't worth it to have them in there when I found her all snuggled up to the side of her crib. At first I thought it was just a fluke but she's started working her way into that same position every night since. I love that she likes to snuggle up. Sweet girl is such a little love!

Family Date Night!

Reid got home from a business trip late Friday afternoon. We decided to head out for a family date night at Taco Joint. Olivia had her first bites of chicken and cheese quesadilla and loved it (not surprising). And this girl is all about the people watching... I have no idea where she gets it. ;) Love her sweet little face!

Our Week In Pictures

Last Sunday we started transitioning to crib naps. Up until now she's slept on me for every single nap. While I wouldn't change that sweet time we've had for anything, I knew it was best for her to learn to sleep on her own during the day. We had several "cry it out" days, but she's really done so well. And, the past two days she's gone down without a peep. I'm so proud of you, Olivia!!!

Months 10 & 11

Olivia is 11 months old! Oh, what fun she is these days. A lot has happened these past few months and since I skipped the 10 month post I'll just dive right in and try to re-cap all of it. - Stats. Olivia weighs 13 pounds 1 ounce and is 26 inches long. She is wearing size 3-6 or 6 months clothes. She wears a lot of one piece outfits or dresses. Her waist is so small that most pants fall right off. However, Zutano pants fit her perfectly. Love that brand! She is also wearing size 2 diapers. - Diapers. Oh, the diapers. This past month we had a little issue with Pampers. Olivia had been wearing them since 23 weeks gestation in the NICU and they were fine. Then, in February she developed a horrible rash that presented itself when we started a new box of diapers. It wasn't like normal diaper rash and it was all along her lower abdomen. Nothing made it better. After a trip to the doctor and many questions to Google I found out that she wasn't the only baby who had a r...
