Olivia is doing so well! She weighs 4 pounds 10 ounces. I can't believe how much she's gained just this past week. She is doing great with breast feeding - she ate two entire feeds on her own yesterday and didn't need to be given any extra through her tube. It seems like yesterday a light went off and she got into a good groove. We will introduce a bottle this coming Friday and I'm interested to see how she likes it. She is down to 1L on the nasal cannula and hasn't had any issues with that change. She truly is our little miracle!
I don't claim to have the smallest hands in the world, but this picture will give you an idea how small four pounds is!
Mommy and Daddy love you so much, Olivia!

ReplyDeleteContinue to pray for you all each night. I'm so happy to see Olivia's progress!
ReplyDeleteShe is beautiful. So glad she is growing so much and doing so well. What a blessing!
ReplyDeleteOh.My.Goodness. I am SO excited for you! Reading that she is bf-ing made my heart beat faster and tears come to my eyes. I LOVE that the Lord helped y'all figure this out because I KNOW what a battle it is. It was 3.5 months before I could teach my babies to nurse and for you to be able to experience nursing with beautiful Olivia is such a beautiful blessing. I am so excited for you. Only a MoM knows the fight that this is. Please tell Olivia I said "well done!" :o) My hubby and I are always thinking and praying for you guys.
ReplyDeleteLots of love,
The Fountains
P.S. She is GINORMOUS, btw. :o) I brought home a 4.12 pounder and remember how I was so caught up in how tiny yet huge this was compared to their birthweights. Good job, mama! You've grown her well - both inside and outside her tummy!
ReplyDeleteShe looks so big, at only 4 pounds! Keep growing little girl!
