On the night you were born,
the moon smiled with such wonder
that the stars peeked in to see you
and the night wind whispered,
"Life will never be the same."
Because there had never been anyone like you...
ever in the world.
Heaven blew every trumpet
and played every horn
on the wonderful, marvelous
night you were born.
(On the Night You Were Born, Nancy Tillman)
Olivia,
Four weeks ago, delivering you so early, we would never have described that night as wonderful or marvelous. We were terrified. But, God was bigger than our fears and He had a very special plan. He knew on that day how scared we would be. He knew how much you would weigh and how many strands of hair would be on your head. He knew the nurses who would care for you in those first critical hours and days. He is the author of your life. We learn more and more each day that His plan for you is best.
These past four weeks with you have brought us so much joy it makes our hearts swell. We love you more than we thought possible, sweet girl. We love you fiercely.
Love,
Your Mommy and Daddy
